STAGE/SCREEN ACTING CLASS PRIMARY
The Stage/Screen Acting Class is our most popular drama class for all acting levels, abilities or experience. This is for all the budding movie stars, stage stars or kids who would like to try something new. This class introduces students to the fundamental tools of the acting experience in a fun, supportive, dynamic and empowering atmosphere. As well as giving actors the chance to put their skills to use whether on stage or in their own short film created in class. Giving all actors both the stage and screen experience, and having a whole lot of fun along the way. An acting group class like no other.
STAGE/SCREEN ACTING CLASS HIGH SCHOOL
Similarly structured to KAS’s other Stage/Screen Class. The high school program is for young actors who are excited about learning how to act for the stage and for the screen. We cover a range of exercises that are all designed to help aspiring young actors learn what acting is all about. Along with giving students the chance to develop their own production such as a theatrical performance, film or television pilot. This class is fun, engaging, insightful and open to all abilities. The High School Stage/Screen Acting Class is not to be missed.
MUSICAL THEATRE
Become a quadruple threat! Students are taught the four disciplines of singing, dancing, acting and creating. Musical Theatre class is a high energy, exciting and extremely fun class for anyone. It doesn’t matter if you can’t sing or dance. This class is for all. In Musical Theatre we will work on a range of musicals and hold a musical theatre performance night.
Special guest tutors from the various performance disciplines will teach musical theatre workshops for any MT student. A vibrant class that brightens any week!
FILMMAKING CLASS
The ultimate behind the scenes AND in front experience! Learn how to not only star in your own film; but how to write a script, direct your cast, shoot the film (On your own camera device) and edit your masterpiece. Make use of the studio green screen, web channel or enter your film in nation wide film festivals. Great for those who love to create and watch their ideas come to life!
TV/RADIO PRESENTING CLASS
Ever wanted to present the news? Or have your own radio program? This is it. In the presenting class you will run an online news and radio channel, regularly interview various personalities and have the opportunity to visit a professional radio or a TV studio. The presenting class each Friday upload their news segments/podcasts to the online news channel and work towards creating a larger viewership in the area. This is a really unique opportunity for anyone who wants to learn more about the world we live in and help students become a strong and individual storyteller through the medium of television and radio.
PROFESSIONAL ACTORS MASTERCLASS GROUP (P.A.M.G
The P.A.M.G is a selective group of actors who are either currently working in the acting industry or whom are committed to starting professionally. Over the course of the term actors are creating a plan for themselves on how to approach the industry realistically and receive results. This is a vocational class developed for those who are passionate, determined and ready to start booking paid roles in television, commercials and film. Selection is determined on Studio Directors approval in some instances Auditions may be required. This class is limited in size. The P.A.M.G curriculum can be given to you upon request.
MASTERCLASS (private or semi private)
The Masterclass is for actors wishing to commence a professional acting career or are currently working in the acting industry. The Masterclass aims to 1. Make you more informed. 2. Create a more versatile actor and 3. Create a higher casting rate. This is a program for actors wishing to take their skills to the next level, get their name out there and work individually on audition pieces or acting performances. Masterclass is essentially about becoming a much stronger actor, being confident in auditions and understanding how to approach and make a name in this industry. This is a popular program so positions fill fast, in the event no positions are vacant I strongly suggest doing the P.A.M.G.
PRIVATE ACTING LESSON OR AUDITION TECHNIQUE
This is a one on one approach to an acting class. Students learn skills for both stage and screen in a fun and innovative way. Giving actors the chance to not only act, but if interested create their own performance pieces or movies. Actors are also given a number of scripts and exercises to increase performance experience, and to help build confidence in their own abilities. Audition technique lesson is also available for those who want to nail their next casting.
